Our casa rural is located between the city Liberia and the national park Rincon de la Vieja, Las Pailas Sector, close to the little typical village Curubande, Guanacaste Province.
With only 8Km from the entrance of the national park, the ideal base to visit the park.

Own car / Rental car
Drive to Liberia on the Pan-American Highway(route1). From the main intersection on the highway in Liberia (you’ll notice gas station & McDonald’s), drive 5km north towards the Nicaraguan Border.
Turn right at the entrance to Curubande/Rincon de la Vieja national Park - Las Pailas Sector.
It is 10Km to the village of Curubande and another 2 Km East till you see our sign at the same hight of a 2 story wooden house. Take a left and within 300m take our entrance right.

From the Airport Liberia: take the route 21 and drive 10km to the main intersection on the Pan-American (route 1) highway in Liberia. There, turn left and follow the instructions above

Public transportation
Daily a public is heading out from the public bus station in Liberia to Curubande. Our B&B is the last stop so it is good to mention to the bus driver your destination is Aroma de Campo. From the road it is still a 300m hike up to our B&b.

 

Bus schedule:

  • Liberia -  Curubande: 6.40am, 12.00pm & 5.00pm
  • Curubande - Liberia: 8.00am & 1.00pm.

Daily a public BUS is heading out from the public bus station in Liberia to Curubande.

 

Coming from San Jose you can take a Pulmitan bus which offers daily service at every hour.
The bus station is located on Calle 14 between Avenida 1 and Avenida 3, San Jose.
